Just got back from Tampa (May 30th @ Ruth Eckerd Hall.) Though it was a smaller crowd (about 1000+) the crowd was energetic and she received an ovation after just about every song (of course I was one of those standing each time!) By the end of the show, everyone was standing. Basia was in fan-tas-tic voice. She still really sounds wonderful. I was blown away. I could not ask for a better performance. The sisters were great, and it was great to see Danny and the other musicians everyone perform live! I would highly recommend seeing a concert, especially if you like the works from the first album; they played almost every song from Time and Tide. i wish they did mroe of then new songs, but that is a minor complaint.

I saw both shows last night at The Highline Ballroom in NYC and it was Absolutely AWESOME!! Basia's voice was superb. The band & the sisters were also excellent. I thought she covered a great variety of her songs last night. A must see for any Basia fan...RUN don't walk if you can get to her show...She blew me away. Basia you are REALLY something special! ~Annie E.~

  4. Basia was nothing short of wonderful when she played the Highline Ballroom in New York City last Wednesday.

The Highline Ballroom is a relatively small venue, which enhanced this very intimate performance. The minimal arrangements by the miniscule band worked beautifully for this venue and brought a new acoustic feeling to many of the songs. In fact, the minimal arrangements brought out the best in Basia’s voice. Standouts included “Yearning”, “Time and Tide”, “A Gift”, and “From Now On.”

I was a little disappointed that Basia did not perform several songs from her new album. I would have loved it if she sang, “There’s a Tear”, “Two Islands”, and “It’s that Girl Again.” When she returned for her encore, I remember several people shouting for her to sing “I Must.” I would have been more disappointed if she had not sung “Yearning.”

Basia performance was very special for me. Her live album, which overflows with emotion and exuberance, have gotten me through some tough times and I have forever regretted missing her when she was at the Neil Simon Theater 16 years ago.

I saw Basia perform in Boston this past weekend. She was just as amazing as when I saw her in the early 1990's! Her voice still sounds rich and strong and Danny White and the rest of the band were perfect! I hope she will tour again in the future - it's been too long!
